In order to give special impetus and new direction for the promotion and development of handicrafts and handloom sectors in the Union Territory of Puducherry, a separate Federation by name “The Puducherry State Co-operative Handicrafts & Handloom Federation Ltd P.760” was started during March 2007. The primary handloom weavers co-operative societies and primary handicrafts societies functioning in the Union Territory joined as the members of the Federation. The registered office of the Federation is functioning at No: 3, ‘D’ Lane, V.V.P Nagar, Thattanchavady,       Puducherry-605 009.

 A common brand logo by name ‘Artisanat Pondichery’ was created for the Federation to market the products and to identify it as a repository for the best handicrafts of Puducherry. 

The Puducherry State Co-operative Handicrafts and Handloom Federation has proposed to organize rural clusters for agarbathi manufacturing in Puducherry.  Clusters for various handicrafts already exists in and around Puducherry & Auroville.............
