Objectives:

The main objectives for which the Federation was set up are as follows:
  1. To undertake the work of marketing the handicrafts produced by the artisans of Puducherry.
  2. To impart training to artisans to upgrade their skills.
  3. To improve the productivity and the quality of handicrafts and handloom products.
  4. To employ new innovations in design and
  5. To provide socio economic security for craftsmen.
      

To fulfil the objectives, the Federation is engaged in activities like marketing, production, undertaking special projects, training of artisans etc.,
